Judith Chinski

I think of painting as a journey. As I travel to places real or imagined, I strive to record the beauty of the things I see around me. I am drawn to light and shadow, but more so I am visually stimulated by color.  My subject matter is chosen by the things I like, beaches, children, boats and worn out buildings come to mind. I paint in both transparent watercolor and acrylics. Although my subject matter can be quite diverse my body of work is held together by the use of bright, happy colors.
I enjoy sharing my vision with the viewer, as I compose the song of my life using brushstrokes and notes of color. I endeavor to make every painting a little better than the last. I want the viewer to recognize a place visited, to appreciation what I’ve tried to convey and to travel with me.
