I love to paint and I love to travel. I am very lucky to be able to do both. My subject matter consists of the things I like; beaches, boats, old buildings come to mind. Although the subjects I choose to paint are mostly traditional, my color palette is quite a bit brighter than what one might normally encounter. I want my paintings to celebrate color, light and shadow. I paint in both transparent watercolor and acrylics.
Painting is also a journey. I strive to make every painting a little better than the last. I paint in an effort to share my journey and to invite the viewer along on this journey. I want the viewer to recognize a place visited or if it is a new place for them, real or imagined, I want the viewer to travel with me.
